- 2013 Dog Licenses Are on sale
The 2013 Oakland County Dog License will be available at the Township Treasurer's Office beginning December 1, 2012. Dogs are now required to licensed at four (4) months of age. Verification of rabies vaccination and sterilization papers must presented at the time of purchase. You must renew licenses by May 31. Beginning June 1, the cost will be $30.00 (Exceptions are newly acquired dogs or new residents with a 30 day grace period.)
Dog licenses are required by the State of Michigan in accordance with Michigan Act 339 of 1919 (commonly known as the dog law). If your dog has already been registered in the past, the county will send you a reminder post card, saying dog licenses renewal. It is done on line now and will take a few minutes to complete.

- Important Additional Information
You will need proof of a valid rabies vaccination to purchase the license. You will need proof of your dog being spayed/neutered if you wish to receive the lower fee. You may purchase the license at either the Township Offices (the Treasurer's Department) or at: Oakland County Animal Control, 1700 Brown Road, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326. Phone (248) 391-4100.
