May 29, 2017

Memorial Day in Brandon Township is celebrated with a military parade

beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Old Town Hall, 486 Mill St. and ending at the

Ortonville Cemetery, 175 N. Ortonville Rd.

There is a short ceremony at the Veterans Memorial and the

Avenue of Flags will be on display.

The Avenue of Flags is a very impressive display

of over 600 full size American Flags flown in honor of

specific Veterans.  It is a beautiful site and shouldn't be missed!

Solicitor Information

Please be aware that under the U.S. Constitution, the Township cannot prohibit door-to-door solicitation but we can and do attempt to regulate such activity.  The Township’s solicitation Ordinance, previously upheld by federal court, requires a permit from the Township Clerk (which the solicitor must carry) and restricts solicitation hours from 9:00 a.m.  –  7:00 p.m. any day.  Homeowners not wanting solicitors may post a sticker or notice on their door, “Private Property – NO SOLICITORS.”  Stickers are available at most hardware stores.

You may have your phone number listed on the national "Do Not Call" registry that will render the line off-limits to telemarketers.  Simply call 888-382-1222 or register online.  Violators face fines up to $11,000.00.
